Bet Acquai ted D nc Everyone flocks to the Get-Acquainted Dance hoping he will meet that certain guy or gal. Freshies are scared of them. Sophomores and juniors love them. After four years the seniors are still coming to them. What? Why dances, of course! After an exciting football or basketball game, what better way is there to spend an evening than at a dance? From freshman to senior everyone flocks to the Get-Acquainted Dance hoping he will meet that certain guy or gal. The school colors are sported by one and all at the annual Blue and White Dance, held this year after the Argo basketball game. The hour of twelve o'clock ends the fun all too soon when one is dancing at either of these affairs. Tiff: ,-' f 'llifzfs fimlfifl Jack Saidel, Marie Narcisi, Joyce Agress, and john Lind- ley demonstrate a few fancy steps while jitterbugging joyous students jam the gym for the Blue and White dance, after a crushing victory over Argo. 8 ue and D nee

Open to upperclass couples, this year's Prom took to the tropical breezes blowing right over the boys' gym. Sinking down under dreamywaters, the gym rested on the bottom of the Sea of Enchantment. Couples in colorful gowns and handsome tuxedos floated and swayed to the wave-like strains of Ralph Meeker's band. As the magic hour arrived, Don Pe- rozzi crowned Joyce Agress as the prettiest mermaid of the underwater world. W 25

Honestly, Mom, you look wonderful, and I'm really proud of you! The senior girls' lovely mothers heard this on the night of the annual Senior Mother-Daughter Banquet, From Mother's Days to Daughter's Daze, on january 26. Decorated in purple and white, the cafeteria was the setting for the annual tribute to the seniors' mothers. For awhile it was thought that the traditional affair might have to be abandoned because it has gradually been outgrowing the space, but some last-minute adjustments made the banquet possible again this year. After a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, community singing was scheduled, followed by entertainment provided by the senior girls from the A Cappella choir. Lef! to Right: Mrs. Rehnquist, Judy Rehnquist, Miss Ora Theobald, Judy Balser, Mrs. Balser, Dr. Metcalf, Miss Evelyn Callendar Miss Jean Pavy.
