a liion bow Highlight of the year for the Home Ec gals is the annual Fashion Show at which they model the dresses, suits, skirts, coats, pajamas, and other gar- ments on which they have toiled during the course. This year the colorful event was held on April 20, in the boys' gym, under the direction of the clothing teachers. Four narrators took turns in describing the costumes as the girls paraded before schoolmates, parents, and friends at the admission-free event. Films dealing with practically every course in the curriculum are shown in the Little Theatre or in individual classrooms. Tape re- corders, microphones, record players, and film strips are all part of the equipment in this de- partment.

Wallace Rieke, Mr. Prombo A new course, diversified occupations, was added to the curriculum this year as an experiment. This course affords an opportunity to a few select students to go to school a half a day and work the remainder. The thirteen students receive credit and pay while on the job, with pay ranging from 3.65 to 31.65 an hour. The program is set up so that the student attends two regular classes, plus a related information class and physical education twice a week.
