Before we realized it. the first six weeks had slipped lay, and it was time for report cards. A lot of' us were disappointed when we discovered the value set on our weeks oflalior, liut of course we eould always improve next period. W'e had a variety of Courses to Choose from, with suli- jeets to suit every taste. Crafts was the class for those who liked to work with their hands. It seemed that we spent half' of our time in Ameri- ean History ineinorizing dates, 1776. 1803. etc.. into infinity. A very popular Class was speech. Perhaps the reason was that everyone did a lot of talking in mastering the art of' pulilic speaking. In English IV, Chaucer and Shakespeare liecaine familiar figures. and a lot of notes were taken on panel disrussions. Although advanced algebra usually attracted boys. once in a while a female would pop up.
