ACTIVITIES - BLUE AND WHITE DANCE The second annual Blue and White Dance held alter the Kankakee game in February was a great success. lntroduced in 1952, it has become very popular and has talcen its place as an important social event on the same level as the Prom and the Homecoming and Spring Dances. The lollovving pages picture most ol the important events ol the year and a levv candids ol school lile as Well as shots ol several outstanding activities. Gomes, the Snake Dance, the Prom, the Senior class play, and concerts are a few ol the outside interests that attract many Bloom students. IT

THE MORGUE This year the Morgue was nearly dissolved because of the controversy over Qld Bloom. The Morgue Board, however, was able to reserve St. Agnes l'lall lor most ol the year and thereby lcept the Morgue operating. The school board then decided to repair Qld Bloom instead ol selling it. Members and non-members both Worlced along with the painters and carpenters to speed the reconstruction and to enable the Morgue to move bacl4 into its original building. The Morgue has provided many Bloomites with recreation lor years and has given them a place to meet their old lriends and a chance to malce new ones, The idea lor a youth recreation center grew out ol discussions in problems ol democracy classes. These loyal Morgue membersseem to be enjoying their part in the remodeling of the clubroorns.
