Headed By The Board Of Education Members of the original Board of Illinois Junior College District No. 515 were organized August I7, I966, when Bloom Community College became a Class I junior College. During its first year this Board faced the large tasks of arranging a complete separation from Bloom I-Iigh School, locating a new campus site, and planning a multi-'million dollar college plant for occupation in 1969. In addition to these problems the Board spent much of the year seeking a president to replace Albert I-I. Martin, original dean and president, who resigned to accept an appoint- ment as an associate-secretary of the Illinois junior College Board 38 I l V. 1 I I 2 1 l l l I I ll ,l ,K ll w li +4 Il nl I. , I Fl r i A l l . l I l l New-Mx Dr. Richard G.
