Here in the above picture the couples are shown enjoy ing the atmosphere of the dance. Formal Attendants On May 22, 1965, the students of Bloom College attended the annual Spring Formal. The couples spent three hours swaying to the music of George Sochan and his fine orchestra. At 10:30, the court members moved to the stage and the time to crown the Queen was near. Queen and King A clear crisp winter's night was Mother Natures setting for the annual Snowball Dance, But inside the Amvetes Hall of Crete stu- dents of Bloom College found the atmosphere warm, friendly and most delightful, Spending an evening of Magic 'Mistletoe Magic' proved to be a success. I-Ield on December 18, 1965, the couples danced to the melodic melodies of the Vel -Tones, The decorations created an enjoyable atmosphere, Bits of holly and pieces of mistletoe hung from the ceiling intwined in a green and red circle of magic Christmas trees, with colorful red bows and silver tinsel surrounding the dance floor. Cheerfull green and red table cloths decorated the table tops with lovely center pieces of holly and softly lit glass candle holders. The highlight of Mistletoe Magic came when Frank Rossi and Nancy Wickman were crowned King and Queen. Above are shown the 1965 court, It included Cleft to rightj Sharon Canella, Deane Kukral, Queen Nancy, Pat Cafferelli, and Linda Iafollo. T l Halloween Dance Purple Pumpkin ' i Creative costumes surely fooled the attendants of my dance the Purple Pumpkin! 3 john Thoeming, who is in my right eye with Camella LaMorttella, won the prize for Q v r the best individual costume. Notice in my left eye are the spooks of the dance. Rec- , ognize anyone? Gh yes, and in my nose is Cinderfeller Bill Pierce and his godmother Kathy Showalter. They didn't win a prize but they sure are funny. The dance was held in the lounge on October 29, 1965. Witches and goblins met the , halloweeners as they entered the Purple Pumpkin, Colors of orange, black and purple, along with ghost, scare crows, corn-stalks, Witches andjack-o-lanterns decorated the dance in an atmosphere of terror. No one seemed to mind though, a record num- ber of students attended my dance. 62 heerleaders Sponsor Basketball Bounce One of our star players Rick Caroson and his date Sherry Coradetti dance to the Bouncing music of the Impalas. Most Students danced it up at the Basketball Bounce like Marlyn Lenard, Qleftj and some did not. Steve Cook, Connie Johnson, Randy Gonyer and Linda Iafollo obviously felt that 'Basketball Bounces' really isn't their forte. After an exciting basketball game at the Pudue extention the cheerleaders honored their heroes, the basketball players, with a dance. Cheerleader Captain Pat Cafferelli and her squad, decorated the lounge symbolizing a typical basketball game. Each pla er received a paper basket- E brance of their college basketball Drummer Mike Berchem of the Impalas. 63 days . Y 4 ball with their name on it as a remem- Welcome '66! Work begins the first week of school, even though the results are not distributed until late spring. Bloom C .C. operating on a semester basis, loses and gains students, second semester. This spring semester Carter Sheapard and Ruthanne Dooley, annual co- editors, ended their schooling at C .C . and continued elsewhere. Therefore, Mrs. Levine and editor Linda Iafollo completed the annual. Our annual photographer was Ted johnson. Also some of the pictures shown were taken by john Theoming. Our sports editor was Jack Broschler. Spectrum '66, was designed with the Bloom Students in mind. Presentation of all school activities, academic and social, were covered to give the students a fond remembrance of their C . C . college days. Staff Newspaper editors Bob Sargent and Diana Kukral. The newspaper is written and edited by the students for the reading pleasure of the entire school. This year the newspaper staff consisted of five students. These five students, working together with Mrs. Levine, the sponsor produced a most enjoyable and informative newspaper. Each member worked diligently each month to secure colorful, inter- esting, and fact finding articles to complete the edition. Editors Sargent and Kukral are to be commended for the publication of a fine newspaper. J E O F I F O I N R T T The 1965-66 Student Government of Bloom College was organized differently than any other year. As usual there were the offices of President, Vice Presi- dent, Secretary and Treasurer. However, in addi- tion, for a more effective government the offices of Athletic Director and Director of Social Activities was instituted. Also, the office of Director at Large was created to represent the students. There are five directors at large. Because of this new form of government the stu- dents felt well represented and satisfied with the policies and activities of the school. Our new system of government is truly a success. 70 Choir Q3 ROW 1, Victoria Mancini, Sue Haynes, Albert Gar- cia, Terry McElroy, Alan Zeller, Nick Cotten, Robert Richio, Sharon Montana, Janet Westerhoff.
