To become a member of the club, a student must have participated in prior speech events and placed in the finals. Phi Rho Pi travels to speech meets and this fall traveled to San Marcos. The society also meets with the Texas Junior College Speech and Theater Association at a different location each year. Phi Rho Pi, a national honor society for forensics and-or oral interpretation. The Blinn chapters of Phi Rho Pi and Delta Psi Omega are sponsored by Bobbie and Wilfred Dietrich. Dr. Dietrich is the chairman of the Division of Humanities, while Dr. Bobbie Dietrich is a drama and speech instructor. 70 A TELEVISION PROGRAM, Introduction to Chemical Dependeneiesf' for in-service training is cooperatively produced by the Brenham State School under the director of television, Dan Bayless of 1 Stale School and director of speech and drama at Blinn College, Bobbie Diclrich. Participating project and shown from lefl to right are: Susan Kell, Laurie Lenamond, Todd Handley, Max Evelts, I Bayless, and Michael Welch. One of the scenes involved a classroom lecture.
