f-vb ,4--ll-:gl FUCHS Robert A. Fuchs, 86 of Route 3, 1, died at his home at 5 a. m. today. Services were held lrom St. John's United Church ol' Christ in Burton at 2 p. m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Bergthold will officatc with burial in the church cemetery. Foehner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Fuchs was horn May 10, 1892 in Burton, the son of Henry and Rofine Braun Fuchs. He was baptized Aug. 28, 1892 in Greenvine Lutheran Church and was con- firmed there as a young man. l-le was married to Martha jaroszewski on Oct. 28, 1914- in St. John's United Church of Christ by the Rev. H. S. Schulz. The retired rancher was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ of Burton and was a member ofthe church council for many years. He served as state representative from this area for 18 years and was a former mem- ber of the Blinn College Board of Directors. He was director ol' the Farm Bureau for 18 years and a member of the Sons of Herman and the LaBahia Turn Vercin. He was also a director of the Burton Farmers Gin Association, the Burton Fire Department and the Burton Chamber of Commerce. 41. 1 WALKER Services were held today at 2 p. m. from the First Baptist Church for Daphne Lynn Walker, 24, who died Saturday in Hermann Hospital in Houston. The Rev. Alvin A. Robinson officiated with burial in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Memorial Oaks Chapel was in charge of arrangements. She was born May 27, 195114 in Gates- ville, the daughter of Mickey and Geneva Robinson Walker. She was a graduate of Brenham High School and Blinn College where she was an active student. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brenham. She was employed by the department of health as a data process- ing clerk for tuberculosis control department in Austin. ALTHA BALL PALMER Mrs. Palmer was from Kountze. She had two daughters. She worked on the Blinn Staff for lk years. She enjoyed working with young people. Many holidays she remained here because she referred to her apartment as home. She treated everyone like they were her very own children. We will greatly miss hcr sweet smile. MUSKE Ronald Lee Muske, 20, a lifelong resident of Houston, died Saturday. He was a student at Blinn College. Funeral services were held at the Pat H. Foley and Co. Chapel ofthe Garden, 1200 W. 34th St. Houston, Q713-869-626lj Tuesday at 12 noon. Burial will be in the Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston. LONGEWAY Memorial services for Michael Winston Longeway, 26, of Freeport, who died Saturday at 11:45 a. m. will be held in Free- port. Memorial Oaks Chapel of Brenham is in charge of arrangements. Longeway died in an auto accident near Brenham Saturday. The former Blinn student was born June 16, 1952, the son of Winston and Denise Hudon Longeway. 279

I hope that looking through these pages of photographs will bring back many memories of friends and experiences, good times and bad, and all the events needed to make this phase of life one of your best. A time that you will always remember and cherish as you grow older. As we go on to other colleges, work, or marriage, we will always be able to look back at this book and realize that we were a part of that system which made up Blinn. This system which includes Dr. W. O. Dietrich to whom I am very grateful. His help and support has brought about the quality yearbook we now have. I hope you enjoy this yearbook and as you look through think of the yearbook staff who helped to finish this book. I hope you go on and show the world what a Blinn student can really do.
