50 Jacksonville 80 Blinn The Buccaneer basketball team enjoyed a crushing 80-50 victory over Jacksonville Baptist College on November 21. Coach Waldo D alehauis Buccaneer hoopsters now possess a 3-1 wcn-loss record. Their only setback was il 70-62 defeat at the hands of l'lenderson County College. After Jacksonville tossed in the first two points, the Bucs reeled off 10 unanswered points. From then on, Blinn lareezed to victory. The Bucs held a 40-26 lead going into in termission. Danny Forsythe 228 Scoring in double figures were Ronald Revis, freshman from Houston Fnrrg Jackie Edwards, sophomore from Killeeng and Charlie Mack, freshman from New York Power llflemorial, with 16, 12, and 10 points respectively. During this lopsided victory, Coach Daleliau was able to play every player who suited for the game. Johnny Camphell, a sophomore from Brookshire-Royalg John Williams, a sophomore from Sealyg and Tim Polson, a sophomore from Houston C. E. King, started the game along with Edwards and Mack. Providing excellent support ol'l' the bench were Jerry Lowe, a freshman from Silslreeg Winston l'la1'rison, a sophomore from Bryang Danny Forsythe, a freslnnan from Texas Cityg Keith Guillory, a freshman from Baytown Sterlingg Charles Foster, a freslnnan from Austin Andersong and Bruce Batey, 21 freshman from Tuloso-lVIidway. Alvin 59 ,' Blinn 60 With a clutch field goal from the pasture by Jerry Lowe, a freshman from Silsbee, the Blinn Buccaneers captured a 60-59 cliff- hanging victory over the Alvin Dolphins. Leading the pack in scoring was Johnny Campbell, a sophomore guard from Brook- shire-Royal, with 20 points. Campbell hit 10 of 16 shots from the field to record a hot 62.5 percent. Also scoring in double figures was Charlie Mack, a freshman from New York City. Mack tallied on 5 out of 9 field goal tries for 10 points. However, it was the bucket by Lowe with about 16 seconds left on the clock that highlighted the game. A desperation shot by Alvin at the buzzer failed, leaving the Bucs on top. Blinn displayed an excellent day from the field. The Bucs connected on 30 of their 58 field goal attempts to finish the night with a blistering 52 percent. 69.125 ,laekie Edwards 22 7
