Junior College Agriculture Association Agriculture Club The Texas junior College Agriculture Association, otherwise known as the Ag Club on campus, is a club designed to pro- mote professionalism and leadership among Agriculture students. The Ag Club, sponsored by Mr. Lawrence H. Hemann, holds its meetings on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. in the Arts and Sciences Building in Lab number one. AA State Convention-Tommy Kolwes, Steve Siedel, Tammy Keese, Gary Westbrook, Cindy Wilde, -dyce Boeder Agriculture Organization Nabs Outstanding Chapter Citation This campus's Ag Chapter was recently voted the outstanding chapter and awarded first prize in scrapbook competition at the Texas junior College Ag Assocation Conven- tion on the Texas A8clVl campus recently. Also, Stephen Seidel, sophomore from Smithville, won the outstanding student award. Stephen served as T. l.C. A. A. president for the 1976-77 term. A. staff are Gary Westbrook, freshman from Milano, as first vice-president. In addition, Cindy Wilde, Brookshire freshman, was selected as first runnerup for state sweetheart. State officers last year from this school, besides Seidel, were Tommy Knowles, secretary-treasurer, Lawrence Hernann, state advisor, and Tammy Keese, sweetheart. 87
