Phi Rho Pi Phi Rho Pi is the national honor society for forensics and oral interpretation.To become a member of the club, a student must have participated in prior speech events and placed in the finals. Phi Rho Pi travels to speech meets and this fall traveled to San Marcos. The society also meets with the Texas junior College Speech and Theater Association at a different location each year. Phi Rho Pi, a national honor society for forensics and-or oral interpretation initiated the following members: loanne Corona, from Houston, Dan Bayless, McArthur, Kenneth Ballard, Victoriag and Dana Duewall of Brenham. The Blinn chapters of Phi Rho Pi and Delta Psi Omega are sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Dietrich. Phi Theta Kappa Beta Alpha Phi Theta Kappa is an Honors Club on campus for those students maintaining a 3.45 grade point average. There are no limits as to the number of students who may enter into the Fraternity-the challenge is there for any student to decide whether or not he will become a member. Phi Theta Kappa members meet in the Student Center at approximately 12:15 p.m. each Thursday. Phi Theta Kappa, which is sponsored by Robert Giles and janice Sneed is noted for sponsoring the Bloodmobile each fall activities, field trips, and the club invites a number of guest speakers to the campus. Membershp into this club is an honor in itself not only because it is just that-an honors club but because the student himself worked and earned the membership. 1 jeff Carwithen at the state fair. 74 Officers tour the University of Texas campus while they are at the leadership conference.
