Four Lettermen Play on Buc Tennis Squad A strong men's team and four returning female lettermen highlighted a strong Blinn tennis team that Coach Harold Shilk says is the best Blinn team ever. The team was at least fifty percent better than last year, said the tennis mentor. While Edwin Gallia returned as the only returning letterman on the male side, Susan Horstmann, Ann Schwartz, and Catherine Moran return to bolster the ladies' team. The team however was strengthened by a solid crop of first year members. First year players are Becky Oroczo, Delma Cardona, Robert Roundtree, Brian Burch, joel Burns, john Carrington, Tony Cebrian, jeff Greif, Frank Gonzales, and Freddie Beltran. The team had its first dual match on january 25 against North Harris County. A week later the netters go to Houston Baptist for their first tourney. The Conference championship will be held at Shriner College in IVlid-April. There are nine teams in the conference this year.
