Katherine Atkinson Dormitory Katherine Atkinson Dormitory was built in 1963. It was named after the wife of Blinn College President james H. Atkinson. A strong sense of comradeship prevails over the forty-two dormitory members. The young ladies of the dormitory organized athletic games for the other girls dorms on campus in order for the girls to compete against one another. Mrs. Patton, the dormitory supervisor, is liked and respected by the girls that seem to enjoy their temporary home here at Blinn.
