Buccaneer Treasures The Treasures, directed by Mrs. Sue Boehnke, were organized in the fall of 1971. The beautiful red, white, and blue uniforms, furnished by the college, were designed to resemble authentic 'l7th century buccaneer attire. The precision-clance drill team is featured with the Buccaneer Band at Blinn football games as well as various parades, pageants, and sporting events. Treasure training and try-outs are held in late August. Beta Tau Officers: Vickie Walker, Becky Welch, Marisa Ramirez, Pam Bruce, Sharon Goldston, and L' Teggeman. Beta Tau Sorority ' The Buccaneer Treasures formed a sorority in 1975, with membership open to drill team members ex-members and prospective members. The club was organized because the drill team is more than just a class. Many hours of T practice and performances representing the college bring them closer together. Some objectives of the sorority are to promote interest in the Buccaneer Treasures, rx to provide social activities for members, and 1 to promote school spirit.
