Ebony Club Ricky Hatcher 84 Verna Edwards The Ebony Club has participated in many interesting activities this year. For instance, they have had three dances that were very successful. Also, they have had a car wash. The Ebony Club, being agroup that likes to help needy organizations, con- tributed to the Children's home in Burton, Texas. Also they raised money for a skat-a- thon by selling tickets to help the people who promoted it. Also, at the beginning of the year the Ebony Club donated S50 dollars to the Sickle Cell Fund, and S50 dollars to the United Negro College Fund. This money was raised by car washes, dances, and other activities. They plan other things for the future that will be helpful to the society and other fund raising organizations. 98 -1.8.1 The Ebony Club members are listening to the minutes of the previous meeting.

1 ,tat V he club members are discussing new business for the new year. I Ebony Club members are voting for the new officers for the spring semester. Ebony Club Contributes to Sickle Cell Campaign Contributions were recently made to charitable organizations by the Ebony Club. Club members donated S50 to the Sickle Cell Anemia Campaign and 550 to the United Negro College Fund. Rickie Rabourn, club sponsor, said that club members are now thinking about some public service project such as a visit to the State School in Brenham or to one of the local nursing homes. The recent fund raising dance sponsored by the Ebony Club was a success with over 200 in attendance and the car wash held last Friday was also successful.
