A Tearful Homecoming The Cisco Wranglers displayed a powerful ground attack led by All-Conference back Henry Smith .to spoil another wise colorful homecoming. Cisco used its offensive might to dominate most the game which ended 29 to 7. However, the Bucs never gave up. With only 12 seconds remaining on the clock, Mike Hilliard connected with Ray Stelter on a 61 yard scoring pass. Hilliard, who was hobbling on a swollen ankle, faded from his own 39 yard line and found Stelter at the Cisco 39. The Blinn speedster took the ball away from one defender and outran two others to the goal. Louis Ryter, End 217

And Then Kilgore Kilgore accounted for its sixth win of the season without a single loss, 31 to 6 at the expense of the Bucs. However, the score hardly tells the story. The Bucs gave them a fight, but their defense seemed invincible when they were backed up against their own goalline. Victory Again When the Bucs met Ranger, they staged afine offensive show. With 6 minutes remaining in the first half, the Bucs put 20 points in their column on the scoreboard. The Blinn workhorse Richard Garza exploded for 20 yards and made the first touchdown. The extra point attempt failed. Next David Atkinson rambled for 25 yards to the 15 yard line. From there Mike Hilliard refled a pass to Larry Hodges for the score. This time Wayne Williams, kick was true and Blinn led 1 3 to 0. After working the ball to the Ranger 16 yard line, Mike Hilliard again went to the air. This time to Roland Reichardt and again Wil- liamsi kick was good. Late in the last quarter Mick Gamblin pounced on a loose pig- skin at the Ranger 15 yard line. Hilliard then passed to Larry Geaslin at the 3 yard line. On the next play, Ray Stelter rounded end for the touchdown. At the end of the game, Blinn led Ranger by a score of 27 to 6. This game spirited the Bucs for the final game of the season.
