Rachel Spencer Hall Rachel Spencer Hall was named in honor of Mrs. Rachel Spencer, wife of Dr. T. M. Spencer who was presi-i dent of Blinn College from 1947-195 7. This was the first girlsi dormitory which is a second home for the twenty-l six girls who work, live, and laugh together throughout the year. The Rachel Spencer Hall Club is composed of the, young women who live in the dormitory. The basic purpose1 of the organization is to promote a Closer unity among the girls and to aid the Dormitory Matron in the affairs of M l the dormitory. The young women realize that this is part of a college education. , This year the girls won first place on their dormitory' decoration for homecoming. Mrs. Martha Lobello, dor- mitory matron for Spencer, always has an open door for each and every girl. Spencer Hall provides the fellowship and companionship that is needed away from home The highlights of the year are the parties given by t Mrs. Lobello. There is an informal birthday party eachj : month. The Christmas party, a joyful occasion, climaxedjE ' with the exchanging of gifts. The girls appreciate Mrs Lobellois many services that she performs. She will always be remembered by all the girls.
