After many hours of scrubbing, the members painted the room! white and black. The room is used. by the Blinn Log Staff. The Press Room houses the binded Blinn Logs of the past and the Buccaneer yearbooks. Each editor has his own mail box and place to work. Press Club The Press Club, added in 1966 to the campus organizations, includes the Annual Staff and the Newspaper Staff. , The purposes of the Club are to stimulate in- terest in student publications, to enhance the quality of these media, and to aid in perpetuating the stand- ards and ideals of Blinn College. The Press Club has promoted campus activities, has recorded noteworthy events, and has brought stimulating speakers to Blinn. At the Press Club Banquet, Leon Hale, a well- known writer, was the guest speaker who shared his writing experiences and discussed the new trends in journalism. After the banquet, Leon Hale, the administration, and members of the Club enjoyed coffee and fellow- ship at the home of Wilfred Dietrich, Annual Staff sponsor. Rodeo Club ' The Rodeo Club was organized in the fall of 1959 to promotebetter horsemanship, rodeo participation, and sportsmanship among the Blinn College students. The Blinn Rodeo Club sponsors a College Rodeo each spring and participates in other college rodeos in the area. Club members practice skills at Dutchts arena.
