The students have been inspired through various ; 3 types of worship as liturgies, singspiration, and re- ligious folk singing; guest speakers; and discussions. i ' Fellowship was shared with the United Churc ;1 at a Christmas social that included Christmas carol-ii , ing at the rest homes and hospitals. Games and refreshments were enjoyed. ' During the Spring Semester, the Club had Rev. E V Thomas H. Swygert as the guest speaker for a college assembly during Christian Emphasis Week.

The Newman Club, an organi- zation of Catholic students, promotes fellowship among the students and develops Christian character. The Blinn College Chapter is a member of the national organization of New- man Clubs. The Club holds night discussions in regard to various controversial matters dealing with the church. Father Floyd Biel, pastor of St. Marys Church of Brenham, and Father Thomas Hanus, assistant pas- tor, counsel very closely with the members of the Club in order to guide them toward Christian goals. The Newman Club participated in Christian Emphasis Week Which was held during Holy Week, March 20-22.
