3: Mr. Buccaneer Contributes to Blinn Through Spirit,Activities, and Clubs Douglas Schoppe, a sophomore Agriculture major from Houston, participates in many school activities and functions and holds several executive positions in various organizations and clubs. During his freshman year, he served as Secretary of the Circle K Club and Treasurer of the Blinn Jr. College Agriculture Association. He was an active mem- ber of the Lutheran Students Association. t V During his sophomore year, he served as president 5, . of the Lutheran Students Association and Schwartz Hall, , Vice-president of the Blinn College AgricultureAssocia- tion, Secretary-Treasurer of the Texas Jr. College Ag- ' riculture Association, member of the Board of Directors f of the Circle K Club, Editor of the Buccaneer, and an active member of the Press Club. Mr. Buccaneer is the symbol of a Blinn student who strives to make Blinn College a better college. Linda Swenson - Best Dressed Lady on Campus Linda Swenson added the title of HBest Dressed Ladyii to a list of honors. This honor was bestowed on her by the vote of the student body. During her freshman year, she was a nominee for theA 8: M Cotton Queen and Runner-up for Freshman Class Favorite. This year, Linda was a Homecoming Queen Candidate. Linda is an active member in various organizations and clubs on the campus which include Konza Klub, T. P. Walker Chapter of Texas Students of Education, Press Club, Yearbook Staff, Choir, and Sergeant at Arms for Rachel Spencer Hall. Linda, a sophomore from Austin, Texas, more com- monly known as iiSodyfi plans to major in Elementary Education and minor in Psychology. Lindais ambition is to uphold the student bodyis view of her being the best-dressed coed on the Blinn campus. Her desire is to succeed in life, not only by accepting the culture provided for man but also by contributing factual principles to society. Her personal opinion is that this can be reached in the field of teach- ing.
