Dastoli UOQ, ace BS back, about to be tackled by Scarsdale defender BLESSED SACRAMENT 64 SCARSDALF 33 Tony Dastoli set a new all-time rushing rec- ord by a Card back in the Scarsdale tilt, but that was about all the Friedgenmen accom- plished as they were annihilated by the Red Raiders, 33-6, at the victors' field. Tony scoot- ed up and down the gridiron like a V-2 throughout the contest, but the absence of Dastoli about to reel off long gain against Red Raider secondary that all-important downfield block limited his TD output to one. The tally came in the third period on a two yard slice through guard. BS was at its level worst for this fray, with halfback Dastoli and tackle Lou Zearo being the only gridders who gave an appreciable performance. Dastoli was breaking Barnett nails All Halloacs runner nicely Y -f loose consistently all day long and would have scored at least four touchdowns had be been the recipient of any downfield blocking. But Dastoli had to be content with one, that being a 29 yard thrust on a cutback off tackle in the first stanza. From there on in, the results were horrendous from the Cardinal stand- point. Despite the fact that they were the recipients of several breaks, the Cardinal gridders were unable to cash in when the chips were down. All credit should be given to the lonians, however, for they played great ball in upending BS.
