DEDICATION It is with great pleasure that we, the graduating class of 1955, dedicate our edition of 1'Memories to our community. By our community we mean Benld, Sawyerville, Eagerville and Mt. Clare. These people have made our school possible and have given us many happy years. We are proud of these people. Many of them did not have an opportunity to get a high school education but have worked so that we might have one. We are presenting our annual as a symbol of our appreciation of what they have done. Many civic groups and organizations have helped us through this period of our life - such as our five churches, the Rotary Club, Four H, Boy Scouts, P.T.A., American Legion, Sport- men’s Club, Red Cross, our Board of Education and Faculty. Each has served us in one way or another. These with our business men have always supported our athletics and other school activities. We are grateful for this cooperation. We dedicate it not only to these and perhaps other organizations in the community, but also to every individual who has in the slightest way helped by his efforts, finance or influence. Every tax payer has helped to make our schooling possible. Of course, we cannot forget our parents who have cared for us since birth. We wish that each of us could say “Thank You ' to eacn of them, but since we can't, we are dedicating our annual to them. It is a record of our school activities and achievements, giving the public a glimpse into the best years of our life and containing memories which we will cherish. It will always give us “a beam of hope, a glimpse of joy and, yes, a bit of sad- ness. We hope that as we go out into the world we shall forever be worthy of our community's efforts and it will always have cause to be proud of us, and that in years to come we may be able to help other classes as we have been helped.
