Varent-Zeadter Mrs. Adam Chura (Pres.), Mrs. Pete Alepra (Treas.), Mrs. Wilbert Falke (Vice Pres.). Not in picture—Mrs. William Vercoglio (Sec.). Mrs. H. Curtis (Cafeteria), C. Mancinelli, P. Cavallo, D. Termine (Buses), C. Nor- bent (Grade Janitor). Message from our Principal When a student leaves school and applies for his first job, he will find a real life evaluation made of him. What he can do, his capabilities, and his habits of work will be carefully considered. We feel that our grades fairly well measure the ability and potentialities of our students. Marks and credits irritate many people. Some argue for doing away with them altogether. But what would we substitute? Life is a testing, and there is not much use in shielding youngsters from the fact that in the scales of life they are constantly being weighed. Only those who love us judge us in terms of ourselves. Everyone else judges us by comparison with other people. A child might easily go through a school under the illusion that he was satisfactory and then be rudely awakened someday by finding that, in all the ways that counted, he was not very satisfactory at All. We try to be realistic. Our school reports try to reflect as nearly as possible where our students stand in terms of themselves and in terms of others doing the same work.
