MRS. HARDY RETIRES AFTER 35 YEARS In May of 1977, Mrs. Helen P. Hardy will retire after thirty-five years of teaching in her native county. Mrs. Hardy graduated from Radford College with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and French. Her first year of teaching was spent at Ceres High School. The next year Mrs. Hardy came to BHS where she spent the remainder of her teaching career. In addftion to her teaching duties, Mrs. Hardy has sponsored numerous classes and clubs. At one point in her career Mrs. Hardy coached girls' basketball. The highlight of Mrs. Hardy's contributions to the students of BHS has been her role as sponsor of The Echo. Mrs. Hardy has sponsored the yearbook since 1951. No one can deny that Mrs. Hardy will be sorely missed. She is living proof that alot of work can be done in 35 years. Mrs. Helen P.
