Text from Pages 1 - 72 of the 1962 volume:

With construction of a new building at Bland High School, starting in July of this year, a long dream and wish is on its way to being fulfilled. For many, many years, students at Bland High School had to attend school under very adverse conditions; but now with the construction of new facilities, the students will be waiting in anticipation until they can move into the new quarters. The new building to be is the result of long, hard and many times tedious work on the part of a few peo- ple. This new construction will be a memorial for their achievements. The community can look with pride at their new building and as they look they will be able to see the valuable asset the new school buildign will make to this community. published by the Senior Class of Bland High School Bland, Virginia We the senior class of Bland High, want to show our gratitude and appreciation to a woman of friendliness, understanding, and kindness shown throughout our five years of high school, by ded- icating The Echo of 1962 to Mrs. Helen P.
