LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Seniors of Bland High School being of unsound mind and realizing that the parting day is nigh, do hereby declare this our last will and testament. All former wills are thus declared null and void . I, Lewis Billow, will my alarm clock, which enables me to be tardy every morning to T ommy Mallory. I, Betty Waye Hardy, will my fondness for the name “David” to Janet Bird. I, Alfred Smith, will my ability to sing in English and argue with Miss Brown, to Kenneth Carter. I, Rayella Terry, will my toothpaste smile and my driving ability to Ellen Faye Faulkner. I, Dan Tickle, will my height to Shirley Lester. I, Ned Hounshell, leave my love for Eddie Shawver and my ability to play basketball, to Nora King. I, Darnell Miller, will my well-groomed hair to Billy Atkinson. 1, Patsy Baker, leave Paul Wiley and my ability to have a good time to Opal Morehead. I, Mack Kitts, will my position as President of the Senior Class to Jack King. 1, Kenneth Walker, will my ability to play baseball, to Buddy Taylor. I, Jean Ann Morehead, leave my “Pull” with Miss Blankenship to Rita Hagy. 1, David Miller, leave my way with the girls, to Jake Repass. I, Iretta Kidd, will my friendly disposition, to Eleanor Bird. I, Jack Hylton, leave my Chemistry headaches, to Danny Bird. 1, Margaret Bruce, will my ability to collect boy friends, to Ethel Gusler. I, Bobby Kegley, will my cap to “Cowboy” Muncy so Miss Blankenship won’t miss it in Government Class. , I, Eleanor Davis, leave my silly giggles, to Mary Ann Pauley. I, Willard Peck, will my ability to fight in the hall, to Billy Bowen. I, Jamie Muncy, leave my cheerleaders uniform, to Richard Kidd. I, Tucker Harden, leave my good nature and my seat in the senior room, to Tommy Sarver. I, Janet Francis, will my perfect figure, to Annette May. I, Ronald Kidd, will my good grades and studious ways, to Carl Cox. I, Lois Pruett, will my beautiful curls, to Nancy Wolfe. I, Donald Chewning, will my broad-shoulders and enlarged muscles, to Charles Chandler. I, Regena Dykes, will my bashful ways with the boys, to Juanita Childress. I, Randolph Waddle, leave my ability to tease the girls, to Stewart Stafford. I, Dorothy Gusler, leave my blond curls, and tiny waistline, to Barbara Ss ' Jovnik. I, Dane Havens, will my ability to play softball, to L. B. Townley. I, Dolly Neal, will my ability to hold hands in the movies, to Betty Goins. I, James Thompson, will everything except my nickname “Tomcat,” to Miss Brown. I, Lillie Mae Goins , leave my lipstick to Bobby Joyce Wyatt, hoping she won’t share it with any boys. I, Randolph Davis, will my chemistry book and all my other chemistry possessions to Keith Kitts for safe keeping. I, Jane Bird, will my title “Mrs.,” to Geraldine Walker. I, Lee Tate, will all my good times at Ceres, Va., to A. P. Morehead. To Mr . Gilly and the Faculty, we leave our sincere thanks and deepest gratitude, also we leave our studious habits, good grades and our best behavior. To the Juniors, we leave our ability to keep the school exciting for another year. To the Sophomores, we leave our lack of knowledge and ability to loaf in the halls. To the Freshmen, we leave “Old Bland High” and the long rocky road we had to travel to become “Dignified Seniors.” To our Alma Mater, we leave our memories of “Bland High.” To the Future Students of Bland High we leave all chalk, erasers, bubble gum under the seats and anything they can find that belonged to the “Seniors” of ’54.” Wittnesses by; Victor R.
