, df off The Sectional Contest was held at Bland March 15 1957 Owensvnlle and Bland competing Jerry Ioemmel, Robert Winsel and Margaret Deke competed in Novice Practical for the Juniors Margaret Dake, Bonnie iehl and Jim Dawson were Juniors competing in Novice Speed Margaret Dake was the individual high in Novice Speed and Novice Practical, although Owensville took the team honors in both The Seniors combined their talents to win in both Amateur Speed and Practical The Seniors who competed were Donna Kiper, Pat Stone, and Jane Koenig Amateur Speed Jean Hahn, Sue Pranson, and Jane Koenig, Amateur Practical Donna also won individual high for Amateur Speed and Jane Koenig in Amateur Practical The team and individual high were entitled to compete the District Commercial Contest on March 29 in St Louis The results of the contest were as follows The Amateur Speed fDonna, Jane k Path, and Amateur Prac tical fSue, Jean A Janel, won first place as a team The individual awards were taken by Jean Hahn CAmateur Practi calJ and Donna Kiger CAmateur Speedl The winner of first place as a team were given trophy and the individual highs received medals Margaret Dake took second in both Shorthand and Speed These winners are elgible to compete in the State Con- test to be held April 27, at Columbia. we wish the Seniors the very best of luck when they com- pete in the State Contest. we have every confidence in you, so keep up the good work.
