Education Very few things, if any, in this world are free. Likewise your high school educa- tion is not a gift. That is why, as you get older, it will become one of your more val- uable assets. You, the 1971 Senior Class of Blanchardville High School, have this dip- loma within your grasp. Once you obtain this coveted document I sincerely hope that you will not sit complacently in your own little surroundings, satisfied that you have achieved everything and that this complex world is good enough. Like your forefathers; be not satisfied with what you see but strive to improve this world. Make your improve- ments constructive, but with common sense and understanding for your fellow man. All generations, including your own, have their shortcomings but all will also add much to make this world a better place in which to live. In athletics I have heard you so often yell, Come on team, we want some action! Now it is my turn, Come on Class of 71, I want some action! -- action that will build a better world in which to live, action that is not destructive but constructive.
