Education Very few things, if any, in this world are free. Likewise your high school educa- tion is not a gift. That is why, as you get older, it will become one of your more val- uable assets. You, the 1971 Senior Class of Blanchardville High School, have this dip- loma within your grasp. Once you obtain this coveted document I sincerely hope that you will not sit complacently in your own little surroundings, satisfied that you have achieved everything and that this complex world is good enough. Like your forefathers; be not satisfied with what you see but strive to improve this world. Make your improve- ments constructive, but with common sense and understanding for your fellow man. All generations, including your own, have their shortcomings but all will also add much to make this world a better place in which to live. In athletics I have heard you so often yell, Come on team, we want some action! Now it is my turn, Come on Class of 71, I want some action! -- action that will build a better world in which to live, action that is not destructive but constructive. The opportunities to improve this old world are unlimited and only your initiative and imaginations can hold you back. Come on Class of 71, I want some action. Sincerely, LaVem L.
