Dedication With sincere appreciation and deepest gratitude, we, the Annual Staff of Blanchard- ville High School, dedicate our 1965 annual to Mr. Dean Siedschlag. We admire you as an excellent instructor in the fields of science and mathematics, but even more for your helpfulness and the interest you have shown toward the student body in activities in and out of the classroom. Your encouragement and friendliness will never be for- gotten. With this dedication we wish to honor you and express our heartfelt thanks. ADMINISTRATION Principal’s Message If it's true that the volume of knowledge doubles every ten years--we have an impossible job to do. We must not only keep up with the knowledge turnover, but we have a full time program laying the founda- tion upon which all learning rests. But history says that man has a habit of doing the impossible; there is hope. We that are in school are in the safest place if we wish to keep from being snowed under. Obviously anyone who does less than his best is in danger of falling behind; anyone doing his very best at least has the assurance that he is in the race. It is reasonable to assume that those who will leave us this year have.laid the launching pad--and now, the count down ... Louis H. Bethke S. Olson, D. Baker, V. Marshall, Jr., E. Hird, E. Led by co- captains Steve Dieckhoff and Frank Rear, the squad compiled a 3-6 record. The season was highlighted by come-from-behind victories over South Wayne and Orfordville. Injuries and sick- ness constantly hampered the Blanchardville five. Time after time the Eagles would throw a strong challenge at the leading teams only to fall a few points short. Steve Dieckhoff, who developed into one of the finest ballplayers in the conference, led the team in scor- ing. He and the other three seniors, Frank Rear, Ron Syse, and Keith Ingwell, will be sorely missed next year. 29 Cheerleaders G. Kolb, C. Erickson, J. Sherman, L. Lageson, K. Anderson. N. Sherman, L. Terry Willbom and Jim Peterson did a fine job on the mound for the Eagles, and Peterson, Frank Rear and Steve Dieckhoff led the squad at the plate. The most consistent performers for the Blanchardville squad were Jim Peter- son and Keith Ingwell in the dashes, Terry Erickson and Curt Larson in the weights, and Frank Rear and Steve Dieckhoff in the high jumps. Larson, Erickson, and Dieckhoff placed in the conference meet. TERRY STEVE I'LL SHOW 'EM! FRANK 32 WATCH THIS UP AND OVER ACTIVITIES ROW 1: Mr. Scadden, R. Klassey, D. Cassidy, G. Hermanson, D.
