It seems most anything is “in now, and Blanchard students sport a wide spec trum of attire. (Right): I.uld and li.J. -show their oxfords and ties while Joe demonstrates the 'Miami Vice look (not quite Don Johnson, though). Different is definitely evident these fashions as BUS students gather at lunch. David (right) models the popular jean jacket while (far right) Ronnie and Joe hang around in typical Western clothing. Stripes and prints were commonplace in the classriMim (helou right).

The more conventional way to spend lunch is with friends. There are many possibilities ranging from fast food places, restaurants, delis, the paddy wagon, the cafeteria, and the Coke machine in the gym. On nice days, students would rather get a quick bite and spend time outside writh friends. Teachers Ms. Collier, Ms. Roller, and Ms. Boutwell enjoy quiet away from the kids as they enjoy the springlike weather. Kathy Winnard, Alicia Hyatt, Kim Berkshire, and Sheila Defibaugh decide to catch up on honu-uork during lunch break. (Far left): Trent Stephens and Laura Brooks practice the hug 'em close” dance — this has got to be better than lunch — (l ft): Surely Terry May isn't getting papers to study during lunch. He must be helping one of his fellow students.
