The 8th grade class “loved the Lions on Valentine’s Day; the 7th graders were “Lucky to be Lions on St. Patrick’s Day and the Sophs, and Uncle Sam wanted the Lions on Independence Day. 2

Summer construction While everybody was enjoying their summer fun, swimming, and sleeping late, some BHS students were up and about having practice. In the hot sun the football boys were having 2-a-day practices; the cheerleaders were practicing, providing water and distractful entertainment. The band, under new director R. Cason, spent many long hours early and late to improve their program and the softball girls spent hours on that hot, dry field to try to make another trip to state. Right: Debby shows how it’s done.
