The pep club, composed of 49 enthusiastic and hard working girls, had many money making projects, such as selling ribbons, buttons, mugs and homecoming mums, to raise money for the All-Sports banquet in April. The girls also worked hard to make the '76 Homecoming one of Blanchard's best. Led by sponsors Debbie Dunsworth, Leatrice Sluder, Virginia Vickers and Barbara Mize, the '76 pep club made many valuable contributions to the school and community, and helped make the '76 football season a memorable one.
