Foreword CAROL STACY Editor Business Manager BOB GILMORE Dear Readers, We of the Lions Staff who are about to depart as graduates of 1964, sincerely hope that in future years this issue of The Lion will be a cherished momento of happy years at Blanchard High School—a reminder of favorite classmates and of the wonderful hours outside the classroom. For most of us, we have been here for our four years of high school. Now we must leave and step out to face a future that is very uncertain. In whatever degree of success or failure we may find ourselves in years to come if a glance at these pages will lighten our labors, if only for a single moment, we deem our yearbook worthwhile. Each of the students at B.H.S. had a part in making this school year one to be remembered. Each event will be remembered, some were happy occasions, and others sad, but they are made a part of our school career--a time never to be forgotten. We hope you enjoy The Lion. It was ours for almost a year. Now it belongs Sincerely, to you.

We remember Mother Goose, and all of her stories. Our High School years, and all of their glories. We'll remember Music, all the songs we sang; We can't forget the tardy bell, and all the times it rang. Our letter jackets remind us of basketball, And the trophies in the case help us to recall The many wonderful moments of playing the game, And learning everyday that life is much the same. Of course, we remember our homecoming parade, And all of the football games we have played. The banquets, assemblies, dances, and plays--These we'll remember from our High School days. We've had our disagreements from day to day. But with the help of God they've turned out okay. May we, in the future, to ourselves be true And strive to be worthy in all that we do. We'U remember those who have led us, lessons well taught. To find, in our lifetimes, all goals we have sought; What lies ahead of us no one will know, D1 AnAVinrrl Ul' rh C -» Kt a1 U hprP t PT UP m 3 V CJO
