Colonel William Frank Steer began teaching at Blanchard High School in September of 1960. Since that time we at Blanchard have been particularly fortunate to have the Colonel as our math instructor. Colonel Steer graduated with honors from West Point in 1925, and at that time entered the Air Force as a second lieutenant. He was in both World War I and World War II. He is now still active in the various officer clubs being a member of the Tinker Field Officer's Club and the United States Airforce Association Club. Dedication Colonel Steer and his wife Doveline have three daughters: Twylla-Dawn, age 17; Doveline, age 15; and Bobbi, age 11. Next year the Colonel will be greatly missed at Blanchard High but we sincerely hope he will, at last, find time in his busy life to relax. The Lion's Annual Staff of 1963 is indeed proud and honored to be able to dedicate this annual to Colonel William F. Steer--a wonderful person and an excellent teacher.
