Colonel Frank Steer This year the Sophomore Class was ruled by the males. Shelby Stevens was elected President. Farrell Shatwell, Vice-President; Frank Wilson, Secretary; Ronnie Hoisted, Treasurer; C. W. Chapman, Reporter; and Mike Northington, Sergeant-at-Arms. But the girls received the beauty titles. Olga Lewis was the Sophomore football candidate, Carol Stacy was the annual candidate, and Judy Burris, Delores Allen, and Carol Stacy were selected as candidates from the Sophomore Class to be among those chosen for Annual Queen. Jennifer Burris was given the scholarship award for the Sophomore with the highest grade average. Paula Knox, Jen Burris, Judy Burris, Olga Lewis, Carol Stacy, and Camille Blagg made the Oklahoma State Honor Society. Shelby Stevens and Gary Lemons both received F. F. A. Awards. The speech award was given to Sophomore Jim Snow. Sophomore members were active in High School Pep Club and F. H. A. In Pep Club Judy Burris was cheerleader and Mariana Willson alternate. Carol Stacy was reporter and Olga Lewis and Jennifer Burris were Sergeant-at-Arms. In F. H.A. Judy Burris was Treasurer; Carol Stacy, Reporter; and Camille Blagg, Historian. The Sophomore F. H. A. members attended the State Rally in Oklahoma City and Judy Burris, Jen Burris, and Carol Stacy participated in the State F. H.A. Program. All members had an enjoyable time. In athletics Mariana Wilson was a main string guard in basketball and in football C. W. Chapman was on the main string. There are many Sophomore girls in the High School Ensemble and Delores Allen, Carlotta Swanson, Carol Stacy, Jen Burris, and Judy Burris are in the Triple Trio. Roar Lions To Victory was the theme of our Homecoming float and we won 4th place. During this year, the Sophomore Class attended a movie in Oklahoma City and afterwards we ate at the Cattlemen's Cafe. The Sophomore Class wishes to thank their sponsors, Mrs. Lewis and Colonel Steer.
