SPONSOR—Col. Steer OFFICERS: Simer, Patterson, Knipplemier, Penn, Stacy, and Haynes. We the Sophomore Class of 1960-61 started the year by electing the following class officers: President, Patricia Simer; Vice-President, Judy Patterson; Secretary, Scott Stacy, Treasurer; Donald Haynes, and Reporter, Karen Knippelmier. We are very proud of our queen candidates this year. Karen Knippelmier was our candidate for football queen, and Syvilla Steele was our candidate for annual queen. The Sophomore Class was also well represented in sports. Eight of our boys played football, four basketball, and three baseball. Six sophomore girls participated in basketball. We are proud of all of them. Three Sophomores made the Honor Roll; Judy Patterson, Dixie Elder, and Fred Wilmeth. Judy Patterson received the Scholarship Award from our class. Thanks to our sponsors Mrs. Pat Bard and Colonel Steer our float won first place. We are looking forward to our next two years in high school.
