THE LION ’60 A IN MEMORY OF Our Miss Davidson was born and raised in Evening Shade, Arkansas. She recieved her higher education from the University of Oklahoma, a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree. As the old-timers will tell us, they knew when she came to Blanchard in 1934, that here was a teacher that could be admired and respected by all. In her twenty-five years in this school system, that feeling for her has been in evidence since. Her humor was something to talk about because she always knew the proper time to use it. And even when a joke was played on her (Halloween-Cow-English Room) she managed to come through with the proper response. As far as learning was concerned, you knew that you had had a year of teaching drilled in your heads when you completed a term in Miss Davidson's English Room. And through all our fussing and complaints, she knew as we knew that we would always thank her for her efforts . Miss Davidson was a Christian and although she never told us of her activities in the church we knew that she was surely one of their finest members. Although she is not with us now or will never be again, her dedication to the students of Blanchard will linger on. Somewhere, some boy or girl, who had the privilege to be in her classroom will make his mark because of something she taught or helped him to do. For her efforts students since 1934 are eternally grateful. Our loss is Heaven's gain! OLIVE SU DAVIDSON OUR MESSAGE TO YOU We wish to express our appreciation to Mrs. Lewis and the Annual Staff for the ver fine work they have done in production of this years' Annual. To those of you in the sti dent body who will have the pleasure of turning the pages of the Yearbook and thus trav ingdown memorys’ lane, we are sure you will be proud to have been a member of Blancha High. Best of luck to all of you. Sincerely, A. J. Terrell Superintendent John W. Sill Principal Board of Education A. J. TERRELL Superintendent of Schools JOHN W.
