SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS, LEFT TO RIGHT: Roy Matheny, Secretary-Treasurer; Connell McCraw, Vice-President; John Pettigrew, President; Joy Foster, Ser-geant-at-Arms; Jay McGrew, Reporter. We, the Sophomore Class of 1958, have thoroughly enjoyed this, our second year in high school. At the first of the year the class elected officers as follows: John Pettigrew, President; Connell McCraw, Vice-president; Roy Matheny, Secretary-Treasurer; Jay McGrew, Reporter; and Joy Foster, Sergeant at Arms. We were well represented in all sports as well as in the Lionette Pep Club where Carol Wilson served as Secretary-Treasurer. Joy Foster, our football queen candidate looked very beautiful at the coronation ceremonies. Carol Wilson was F.F.A. Queen again this year and Trula Wheless was our candidate for Annual Queen. Our boys worked hard on their Shop and F.F.A. projects this year. Four of our boys won first at the Central State Dairy Judging Contest this year. They are Kenneth Huffman, Steve Schwilling, Phillip Savage, and Dan B. Swanson. Three of our classmates were members of the Honor Society. They and Joe Lowry, Trula Wheless and Nina Dilbeck. Miss Davidson deserves our sincere thanks for being a wonderful sponsor this past year. 18
