SOPHOMORE SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS Byron Haygood, Vice President; Carolyn Bell, Sergeant -at-Arms; Lloyd Brightwell, Reporter; Kenneth Wilson, Secretary-Treasurer; Roy Brooks, President. We the sophomore class of 1956-57 have thoroughly enjoyed this, our second year in high school. We began by electing the following officers: President, Roy Brooks; Vice President, Byron Haygood; Secretary-Treasurer, Kenneth Wilson; Reporter, Lloyd Brightwell; Sergeant-at-Arms, Carolyn Bell; and Sponsor, Mr. Inkster. We had three people on the honor roll, Louise Jarman, Sue Brightwell and Jerry Mayfield. We were well represented in all sports, and for the first time a sophomore won the athletic award. Carolyn Bell was selected as girl athlete of the year. We were represented on the annual staff by Joan Davis and Mac Francis. Louise Jarman was F.F.A. Sweetheart candidate with Marion Erwin representing us as Football Queen candidate and Connie Coggins as Annual Queen candidate. So long, Mr. Inkster, you've been a wonderful sponsor.
