JUNIORS CLASS OFFICERS Tommy Morton, President; Omer Can, Vice President; George Wilson, Secretary; Alice Rolen, Treasurer; Donald McCraw. Reporter; and Calvin Smith, Sergeant-at-Arms. JUNIOR CLASS The Junior Class of 1957 started their year off by electing the following class officers: Tommy Morton, President; Omer Catt, Vice President; George Wilson, Secretary; Alice Rolen, Treasurer; Donald McCraw, Reporter; and Calvin Smith, Sergeant-at-Arms. Although our class did not rank high in the queen races we feel that we have had a fairly successful year. Tommy Morton, with his Angus Steer, placed first in his class at this years County Fair. He also placed seventh in his class in the State Fair. Alice Rolen was candidate for both F.F.A. Sweetheart and Football Queen, Ellen Williams was candidate for Annual Queen. La Rue Stewart and Alice Rolen were two of the four cheerleaders of the Blanchard Lionette Pep Club. We also had seven girls of our class participating in the Pep Club. We were proud to yell for our football team, knowing seven boys were from our class. We also had several boys that participated in basketball. We are proud of the girls in basketball also. Two, Alice Rolen and Judy Swanson, succeeded in making the main string. Award students were: Charles Lowery, Service Award; Ellen Williams, American History and Honor Roll; Anna Rose Soward, Home Economics Award and Honor Roll; and Audra Sue Terrell, Honor Roll. Our class presented our Junior Play, COME OUT OF THE CLOSET, and ended the year's activities with a Mayday theme Junior and Senior Banquet. There was a mixed chorus chosen by Mrs. Starry to sing at Baccalaureate and Commencement. Three people were chosen for this f om our class. They were: Tommy Morton, Alice Rolen, and Andra Sue Terrell to play for the group. The Junior Class of 1957 would like to thank our sponsor, Mr. Terrell, for his excellent leadership.
