gresfman gchbzbes We, the Freshman Class of 1955, have enjoyed our first year in high school very much. Early in September, we elected the following officers: President, Charlene Wilmethg Vice President, La Rue Stewart, Secretary-Treasurer, Donald MeCrawg Reporter, Becky Clanton, and Sponsor, Mr. Bruce DoRemus. We are very proud of our queen candidates this year. La Rue Stewart was our candidate for football queen: Judy Van Wie was candidate for Annual Queeng and Rosemary Oglesby and Tommy Menon were our King and Queen of Hearts candidates. Both the boys and girls were well represented in athletics. Several of the boys participated in football and we are sure that you will be seeing more action from them in future years. The Junior High basketball teams were composed almost entirely of Freshmen and they had a highly successful season, winning by far the majority of their games. We were also well represented in softball. Seven of our girls were members of the Girls' Glee Club and four of them were in the Triple Trio. We are very proud of Andra Sue Terrell and Ellen Williams for making the Honor Society.
