Senior Class Prophecy Sometimes we may know a person very well, but still know little about him. Few of you have even suspected that I Harlene Huffman was presented with a talent with which I can read the future. As I look into this crystal ball I see a beautiful night club, located on the east side of Norman. On the wall, I see a most beautiful painting of a ship. The Charming hostess is none other than Miss Dovie Price. I knew she'd make a hit with the sailors someday. Her night club is called The Sailors’ Paradise.,l There at one of the tables, I see Adm. George Curren and his lovely wife, Margie. As I rub my hands together, close my eyes, and repeat the magic words ADDA CADABRA! There comes into the object before me a huge crowd of people. It's the Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville Tennessee. There before all those people is Paul Snow. Paul is telling them about his latest record, Drinkln’ Beer and Chasin' Pretty Women. ADDA CADABRA 1 ” Before me is a beautiful home on the outskirts of Del Rio, Texas. It's Jimmy Richey in a huge backyard, playing baseball with his two small sons. Out of the back door, comes his sweet little wife, the former Wanda Sue Saylors. From all indications, Jimmy has made his one goal as a Sports' Announcer for Radio Station KERF in Del Rio. ADDA CADABRA! It’s a beautiful ranch in the Rio Grande Valley. I see a nice looking family getting out of a new Cadillac convertible. It is Ruin Ann and Donald Brooks, with two small girls. The sign in front of the gate reads: Meadow Brook’s Dude Ranch. There is a rodeo ground at this far-away place. As I get a glimpse of the corrals, out of one of the shutes comes Doc Foster, the former bronc rider of old Blanchard High. Doc must be a retired rider, since he won the world Championship prize last year. ADDA CADABRA! Land Sakes! Look at the chickens! I see a huge chicken ranch in Northeastern Oklahoma. Oh, it's Mrs. La Dana Hawkins and her small brood of six boys. La Dana has made a good start on her goal for a dozen children. The Hawkins' Boys may take Oklahoma yet! ADDA CADABRA! Before my eyes is a huge building, a factory. There are two men coming out, and they are Jimmy Don Nichols, and Hubert Burns. The sign over the door of the building seems to say, Schlitz Beer Co., Jimmy Nichols, president; Hubert L. Burns, Vice President. I knew they would make good in some kind of a lazy business. They are talking to Joe Bowling, owner of the Gaiety-Plaza Theater in Reno, Nevada. It seems that he has the best floor shows in the whole United States. ADDA CADABRA! A horse race at the Kentucky Derby! There seems to be quite a bit of excitement as the fastest one draws to the finish line. That person getting off the horse seems familiar. Why, it's Boyd Morris! He has just won the Kentucky Derby! Someone steps up to greet him! Senator Crowder! Gene and Paula are on their vacation. Never had any idea that he would use his brains in politics, did you? As they're leaving, they seem to be discussing something for excitement. Paula suggests that they go downtown to see the newest release of Miss Jane Lowry's Life in a One-Horse Town. They are entering the theater when they meet the former Martha Thomson, now she is Mrs. Lonnie Hawkins. Martha's picture appears on the magazine covers quite often, and she and her husband own an interest in the Hawkins' textile Company, Inc. ADDA CADABRA! I see a plump little lady on a huge bus going to Miami Florida. She has a small boy at her side. Miss Barbara McDonald is owner of the Institute for underprivileged children in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Well, that Bus driver is a woman! Now that's a sight you don’t see often, especially on a long route such as the one from Seattle, Washington, to Miami Florida. It's Marjetta Sewell! Someday she'll probably make as great a name as her father; National Champion Truck Driver. Who is that sitting on the front seat? Jimmy Kidd! He seems to be a very refined person now, and quite well-known too. He established the first public library in Cole, Oklahoma. Jimmy and Marjetta are talking of her cousin, Eugene Huffhines. I see that Eugene is professor of Telegraphy at the Colorado State College.
