JUNIOR ACTIVITIES The Junior class of 1950 is happy to say they have had a very successful year, and hope to have just as successful one next year. We have had a Junior play One Mad Night which was a great success. Our Junior trip which we enjoyed very much at Turner Falls, and our other activities which have helped to make it such a success. Our honor students are Amy Periman and Janis Cowan which we are very proud of. The class has participated in all the school activities. Betty Binyon, Mary Ruth Isbell, Janis Cowan, and Gladys Young all made the main team in basketball. A number of our girls have been outstanding in Glee Club throughout the year. Patsy Echols and Janis Cowan were in the Quartet. Our boys made us proud of them by being outstanding in football and basketball. Glenn Rowlan, Jack Richey, Jimmy Dennis, Bobby Freeman, Curtis Blown, Jimmy McKinney, George Brooks and MyTon Thompson all were football stars to us. Many of these did the same in basketball. Margaret Crowley was our candidate for football queen. It was a close race between the Seniors and Juniors. We lost the race by a small margin and we hope to win next year. We had a group of girls in our Pep Club which cheered our boys all season. We had two members of our class which had the honor of being pep leaders, Janis Cowan and Mary Ruth Isbell. We wish to express our appreciation to our sponsor. Coach Ram bo, for helping to make our year so successful.
