J. Hill, president; Billy hay . rooks, vice-president; Fern hichey, secret®ry; and Kent Thornton, representa- ive to the student Council, Sophomores are unable to see how the athletic program of this school could go on without them. As proof of this view we present the following record: Sophomore Boys Basketball Team won the inter-clas3 tournament: K. J. Fill, :eorge Dennis, holey Kichey, Delmas Erwin, and Kent Thornton wear two basketball stripes on their sweaters; and Kent Thornton, George Dennis, R. J. Hill, and Delmas Erwin are members of the .baseball team. Social activities for the year'included two colorful parties, one of which closed with Is, Starry and Miss Champlin dismayed at the fact that they had unwittingly painted their faces to resemble those of Indian warriors. Equally as exciting as our parties were the vigorous campaigns we waged in an attempt to elect 3etty Lou Puckett, our candidate for Annual Queen, and Phyllis 3ing.a-mon, our candidate for Carnival Queen. fe lost in some contests this year, but we comfort ourselves in the fact that There’s a better year comin.-J”
