The club promoted group discussion and tours through the Walker Art Center and other galleries and helped students to research possible careers, such as Architecture and Graphic design. The Blake fall and spring art shows which featured the artwork of Blake students were sponsored by NAHS. The ultimate goal of this club was to bring to others the joy of creativity in the arts. 1. Co-presidents Bobby Goodale, Brett Anderson, and Bill Colburn helped provide a musical release for the Blake community. The new activities were well received, with twelve ticket campers, sixty concert goers, and a large and dedicated editorial staff to publish Note News. The purpose of the B.O.C. is to give Blake students the opportunity to enjoy and get back to nature. The B.O.C., through the leadership of Bill Cousins, Scott Gage, and faculty advisor Ric Drill-Mellum, successfully organized and led numerous weekend outings throughout the school year. The outings included such activities as hayrides, iceboating, broomball, and camping. The Club was characteristically known for its ability to generate energy and enthusiasm for all events. 1. Erik Larson reaches Mach 1 on his sled 2. The club members gather at the top of the hill to plan their sledding strategies. 3. The sliders take time out to relax and enjoy the weather while posing for the camera. 4.
