to new environment Trailer Park USA. Hooverville, Trailer High School. Students this year had to make their way from class to class amid dump trucks, construction workers and heaps of dirt. Often a first hour class would be in the east end of the building, and then people would make the long trek along Kenwood Parkway to the trailers on the west end. No bells between classes were possible, and assemblies were held first in the courtyard and then in the Dunwoody gym. Coats became the standard wear in classrooms and hiking boots suddenly seemed the new fashion. Students longed to once again lounge in the lobby, have pop in the third floor lounge, and experience the taste of a warm cafeteria lunch. It seemed that everywhere you turned, you saw a sign for an activity sponsored by one of Blake’s many clubs, including solving the impossible math problem, attending an All-Star Wrestling match, or camping out for concert tickets. This year also featured several new clubs like the Wall Street Club, the Bear Club, and the newly-revived Fun and Pep Clubs. Each club organized at least one event per quarter. Activities such as the Talent Revue also provided for students to shine outside the classroom and provided a great way to make new friends, become involved in the school community, and most of all to have fun! Molly Menekheim was one ol the National Art Honor Society members who helped set up the art show that gave students an opportunity to display their work. 16 — Activities V.
