We Humbly Dedicate This Book To Harold Hodgkinson . He joined Blake in 1927 to create a Science department that is now and has been for some time producing results second to none in secondary education. Not only did he introduce students to science, but he made his subject fascinating and relevant. Perhaps even more important, he taught his students to be critical and precise. His constant insistance on excellence has been a real inspiration to hundreds of Blake boys.

Have Helped Boys Become Young Men. Their Kindness Bill Glenn He was persuaded by Mr. Eugene Alder, then Headmaster, to come to Minneapolis and teach in the fall of 1930. Although undecided about his future, he spent four years at Blake before suddenly realizing that he loved Blake and this area, and that this was to be his life. For the past forty-one years he has been a sensitive teacher and friend, and an inspiring coach.
