Years Of Devotion To Blake School And Her Students, He came early and worked late or at home or on weekends so that his door was always open to students and faculty during the day. He was never too busy for anyone's problem. He brought warmth, charm, wit, and a constant good spirit to everyone he encountered. He made Blake a friendlier school; a warmer school. Yet, he held tightly to its traditions which were so much a part of the school.

He joined Blake in 1927 to create a Science department that is now and has been for some time producing results second to none in secondary education. Not only did he introduce students to science, but he made his subject fascinating and relevant. Perhaps even more important, he taught his students to be critical and precise. His constant insistance on excellence has been a real inspiration to hundreds of Blake boys.
