They have planned numerous ac- tivities such as dances, a talent show, and individual class trips. After December, the members on the staff spent countless hows after school and on weekends picking out pictures and laying out pages. We hope you like it! ! 48 THE BLAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL FIRST ANNUAL SCIENCE FAIR THIS YEAR THE SCIENCE TEACHERS AT BLAKE ORGA- NIZED A SCIENCE FAIR FOR THE STUDENTS IN 6, 7, and 8 GRADES . 30 FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD PLACE RIBBONS WERE AWARDED TO EACH GRADE. EVERY STUDENT THAT PARTICIPATED WORKED HARD ON HIS PROJECT. ON FEBRUARY 23 , THE BLAKE LUNCH- ROOM WAS FILLED WITH PROUD STUDENTS . 49 A beard? We didn't short-change you! SOCIAL STUDIES The Social Studies Department of the Blake Middle School has been an ex- tremely strong one this year. All grades have participated in various ac- tivities that have been both fun and educational. The Sixth Grade exper- ienced Map Down, the Seventh Grade experienced their Case Studies, and the Eighth Grade experienced their Business Day and their Big Dig. MAP DOWN WINNERS The Winner!
